COVID-19 and Other Medical Conditions

I’m concerned because my gums bleed. So, do I have gum disease and does COVID-19 effect that?

If you have not had a Hygiene appointment within the past 6 months, I encourage you to make your Hygiene appointment this week. At your Hygiene appointment, I will complete my Oral/Dental examination and inform you of my findings and the status of your gum tissue and bone levels.

If you have bone loss, gum disease, it is termed Periodontal disease. It is a chronic inflammatory process that has been associated with other medical conditions.

Do you have any of the following? Diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic heart disease, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, COPD, kidney disease, congestive heart failure, a heart condition, atrial fibrillation, a respiratory ailment, cancer, obesity? From the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak and crisis in New York, patients with risk factors/comorbidities had a very poor outcome from recovery.

Periodontal disease is not only treatable and curative, it will lead to better overall Oral Health.

Call our office at 719-470-2522 to schedule your Hygiene Appointment Today!
